Before & After School Programs

At Salem Village Academy at Salem Fields we understand the need for a quality, enriching, before school care and after school care programs and activities.

We meet that need in two ways. Our School Age Care (SAC) program or before and after school care activity is available in our Salem Village center and in school sites throughout Spotsylvania County. School age children need a supportive environment that will set the tone for the start of their school day, as well as give them an outlet for their energy at its end.

The morning session consists of quiet activities such as reading, table toys and games, followed by a healthy breakfast. Time is scheduled for the children to organize their school materials, as well as themselves, prior to their departure to class. The afternoon begins with a snack and outdoor playtime. A supervised homework time follows. Arts and craft projects, games, cooking activities, and organized club time round out the afternoon. You can count on Salem Village Academy at Salem Fields to be in session before and after school daily, even during teacher workdays, snow days, and early dismissal days. A holiday camp program is planned during winter and spring break.

Creative, uplifting, and genuine are the words I use to describe the teachers and their style of care. Superbly meeting the needs of every child. I actually look forward to the adorable songs and laughs coming from the room and the children’s smiles when I arrive for pick up.
